On March 13, 2010, Conor Warren Reynolds, 17, a Cathedral High School senior and star soccer player was stabbed to death trying to break up an argument at a birthday party at a Springfield Massachusetts restaurant. Up until the moment the phone rang at 11:30 pm and we were confronted with the terrible news, stories like this only happened to other families. Now every parent's worst nightmare was our own.
"Conor Reynolds died attempting to be a peacemaker," Springfield Police Commissioner William J. Fitchet said, "He was a fine upstanding young man whose legacy to his family and loved ones, and the entire city will be just that, peacemaker. Blessed be the peacemakers".
